SpongeBob SquareShorts : Call for submissions
SpongeBob SquareShorts is a global short film competition inviting SpongeBob Fans and filmmakers of all ages, around the world, to create an original, SpongeBob- inspired short film – no longer than three minutes – that celebrates the yellow guys: his humor, his overflowing happiness and his persistent positivity.
Shorts will be judged on creativity, originality, best incorporation of SpongeBob’s attributes and overall appeal. The top shorts will be selected and posted on www.SpongeBobSquareShorts.com where viewers will have the chance to vote for their favorite video.
All submitted videos will be entered into 1 of 2 categories based on age – under 18 and over 18. Globally, one entrant from each age group will win an all-expense paid trip for four to a screening event of the winning films in Hollywood, CA.
One Canadian submission from the 18 and under category will win the opportunity to have their short film aired on the Nickelodeon channel in Canada.
Submission Period: May 6, 2013 – June 28, 2013
Voting Period: July 18, 2013 – August 2, 2013
Winner Notification: August 5, 2013
